Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety Disorders (including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, and Separation Anxiety)

Anxiety disorders are among the most common mental health conditions, impacting how individuals think, feel, and behave. Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, and Separation Anxiety often cause persistent worry, physical tension, and an overwhelming sense of fear that can interfere with daily life. These conditions may stem from genetics, environmental factors, trauma, or a combination of all three. Professional support and therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), are highly effective in helping individuals regain a sense of control and calm.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and phobias are more specific forms of anxiety that can be extremely disruptive. OCD involves unwanted, persistent thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors (compulsions) aimed at reducing anxiety. Phobias trigger intense fear around specific objects, situations, or experiences, often leading individuals to avoid those triggers entirely. With the right therapeutic strategies, including exposure therapy, mindfulness techniques, and sometimes medication, individuals can learn to manage their symptoms and lead fulfilling lives.
